Philip Auerswald is a professor of public policy at George Mason University and the founding executive director of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network. He co-founded and co-edits Innovations, a quarterly journal from MIT Press about entrepreneurial solutions to global challenges. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed papers, reports, and books on entrepreneurship and innovation including, most recently, The Coming Prosperity: How Entrepreneurs Are Transforming the Global Economy (Oxford University Press, 2012). He has served as a consultant to foundations, corporations, and national governments, including the Gates Foundation, the National Academy of Sciences, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and, from 2010 to 2013, as an advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative.
