Pioneer in various digital projects, Karim is an entrepreneur and digital activist. He is the founder and chief catalyst of Jokkolabs, an innovation hub and entrepreneurial ecosystem present in 9 countries including Senegal and France. He is involved in the organization of Startup Weekend, Mobile Monday, GEW, etc. and supporting different tech communities.
Free and Open Software activist, he is a partner of Maarch, a French OSS company and was board member of FOSSFA and a founding member and executive of OPTIC the main IT organization of Senegal.
He was elected Ashoka Fellow in 2012, the largest network of social entrepreneurs worldwide, with nearly 3,000 Ashoka Fellows in 70 countries.
