Venue:
Sandton Convention Centre - Ballroom 4 Level 2

Led by GEN Israel and the MIT Enterprise Forum of Israel

This session promises inspiration to  entrepreneurs from around the world to focus on the needs of the Base of the Pyramid (BOP).

Led by representatives from GEN Israel and the MIT Enterprise Forum of Israel, you will meet a number of Israeli entrepreneurs who have developed products and solutions relevant to the BOP markets, in a variety of fields.

Over the years, Israel has been able to provide technology-based, financially sustainable solutions to problems facing people affected by poverty, thus contributing to international development. Examples include water reuse and smart irrigation systems, medicines and medical devices (s.a. PillCam, Rewalk, and Copaxon) and the use of solar energy, to mention a few. The session will offer great examples of people providing solutions for third world countries and will inspire others to walk the path.

Speakers include:

  • Assaf Kindler – Co-founder and CEO, Snapp
  • Nitzan Solan – Co-founder and CEO, LivingBox
  • Tamar Cassit, Founder, CEO & Designer, Cassit Studio
  • Carl Meyer, Co-founder, Source IT Solutions & Shift IT
